Challenge

Kokopelli’s hostel is small hostel chain in Peru, they were launching for the first time their hostel in the city of Cuzco ( located at an altitude of 4 thousand meters above sea level). We wanted to encourage our guests from Kokopelli Lima to also stay with us when they travel to Cuzco.

Solution

We created the first anti-altitude sickness business cards made entirely of coca leaf, so guests could keep our hotel details with them and at the same time battle the effects of altitude sickness when they arrive in Cuzco.

Results

With an investment under 80k, the campaign got over 5 million media impressions worldwide, placing Kokopelli Hostel as a trending topic in the hotel industry all over the world. Rooms in Cuzco became sold out immediately.
